Bryposis Dying Note

In the past anything I've tried to rid myself of bryopsis has not worked... some have had good results with raising the magnesium levels. My jawfish has a habit of changing the entrance openings by moving/spitting sand from point A to B. A couple days ago, maybe even three, she spit a ton of sand over a tonga branch of zoanthids burying the bottom half... of which I had some bryopsis that started to grow. I had been meaning to pull it up and unbury the branch but kept getting side tracked. Well I just did and most of the bryopsis was dead/disintegrated. The zoas were closed up but they don't look in bad shape. There are some pieces left, though, I'm afraid it may grow back, but it does give me an idea.
