Brownish/Red

There's some brownish/red stuff on sand bed. Can anyone identify and give me tips on getting rid of it?

looks to me like the beginnings of red slime [smilie=crying.gif]

If you do a search on this site you will find information about cyanobacteria, or "red slime"as it is also known.
