Brown rust colored on sand and rock.

I am cycling my tank for 2 weeks now. I have seen this rust colored spots forming on my rocks and sand. From what I found, I think its diatoms during the cycling phase but not sure any suggestions.

In a tank that young, it is most likely diatoms and completely normal.

I am getting the same brown and lime green spots in my tank that has been running for 1 month. Everything I read says it is diatoms and is a very normal part of a new tank.
