bristle worm

Has anyone ever seen an anemone eat a bristle worm? I accidently shoved one with my tongs into my rbta, he grabed it, closed up, and has reopened again.

The anemone just reguritated part of that bristleworm. I used my tongs to extract it from the anenome and now its' tentacles look crinkly and shrunken. Weird.

My rose ate one once. I'd picked up an algae clip that had fallen and as I was moving it towards the top of the tank to grab it a bristle worm fell into the anemone. It immediately closed up and ate it. It stayed closed for awhile but finally came back out. I was a little worried for awhile.

the other day, i saw a smallish bristle worm crawling across the face of one of my striped mushrooms. i looked back a few seconds later and he had closed up like a little drawstring purse. about 5 minutes later, he opened and the bristle worm was MIA.

Just another reason i love keeping a reef. the ever changing landscape.
