so glad to finaly know where to get another one of those.
don't remember where, but i picked up one of those in the 80's and never could find another. that one looks exactly like mine with the exception of the bowl not being cream colored.
thanks for showing me where to get another, or two, maybe three?
works great for being so simple. (a small series of ringed baffles) i so prefered it to the aerated coke bottle method. after the little sea monkeys hatch, you can place a flashlight or small desk lamp over the center hole and in a few minutes there's nice red load of nauplii. it's easy to remove hatchlings through the small sieve bottomed collection cup that's around the size of a litter coke bottle cap . if you're lazy, you can raise several separate batches over many days without even changing the water or even removing the shells, though you will need to keep topping off the evaporation with fresh water. each time just pour more eggs on top of the old hatched shells which float inside the outer ring. seems most the eggs sink through the old shells similar to how one might imagine sinking through quicksand. sure being lazy to such an extent increases their mortality rate, but sea monkey eggs are cheap, and i don't think they're going extinct any time soon...
