My Hippo Tang has been quite beligerent lately !! Bitting anything that crawls in the tank. Is this normal? He picks up my hermit crabs and drops um !! He's about 5" big.
 
Yes, they can move corals, crabs and small rocks.
 
I always read these fish were reef friendly, but I don't see how this behaviour could be considered as such. They act similar to Triggers !!
 
They like to be fat and happy. When they are not they tend to act out.

Try putting garlic soaked nori in there every day for a week. Make sure you feed every day as well. I use a mix of pc mysis and rod's food.
 
I feed him 2 times a day and plenty. He gets algae sheets w/garlic on them, so I don't know why he's acting like this. Today I saw him biting my Torch. Took a couple of bits off the tentacles [smilie=devil.gif] !! He is starting to get on my nerves.
