Blenny to control Caulerpa Taxifolia and Caulerpa Racemosa?

I have an abundance of Caulerpa Taxifolia and Caulerpa Racemosa. I would like to get a Blenny to help control this growth. Do you think that a Blenny would be happy eating these Caulerpa? What Blenny would be happiest eating Caulerpa?

As far as I know, no fish will eat Taxifolia or Racemosa (Especially Taxifolia) as it's mildly poisonous...

Well, lemme re-phrase... Some will eat a little of it if they're hungry enough, but for large-scale eradication, your best bet is manual removal in my experieces...

Of course, you could always pull the Racemosa out and make a nice salad too!

(DISCLAIMER - I HAVE NOT tried eating it, and considering some of the stuff we put in our tanks I DO NOT recommend actually eating the stuff we've got!!!)

There are many species of the genus Caulerpa, but Caulerpa lentillifera and C. racemosa are the two most popular edible ones. Both have a grape-like appearance and are used in fresh salads.

They're poisonous? is there any other algae that looks like racemosa? I had a lot of stuff in my tank that looks like what's in Tony's salad bowl and my foxface tore through it (of course that could explain why he died for what I thought was no apparent reason) By the way, I don't mean to hijak this thread so Mark I can open a new one if I am in your way here.

Philip - From my understanding, they're toxic much like how Jalapeno's are toxic. Eating one, or even a handful won't kill you, it'll just give you an upset stomach, so to speak...

Now, if ALL you ate were jalapeno's for weeks, months on end, then it could get to a life threatening stage...

At least, that was my understanding of them...

I was only able to get rid of mine by taking each rock out of the tank, picking it off with tweezers in a water filled bucket, and then putting it in my new system. Extreme infestations call for extreme measures.
