Blennies/Gobies

I have a scooter blenny & a Male Mandarin Goby in a 120 gal reef.

I want to add another Goby of some sort, something that will burrow in my sandbed & help keep the sand clean. Is this a good idea? I know it says not to keep more than one jawfish or goby in a tank, just wondering if I would have battling fish in my tank, and once I put them in there I would obviously have a tough time catching them.

Thanks,

Brian

sleeper gobies are great for keeping the sandbed clean, and you won't have a problem putting him in there with a mandarin or blenny. Really, it comes down to mixing the same species of gobies. The orange spot sleeper is a great sifter from my experience, but there are some others too. I've found that the banded gobies are pretty good sifters, but they like to swim up into the water column before depositing sand, so it usually ends up on rocks/corals. Hope this helps
