Black Paint

Are you planning on painting the inside our outside of the tank. The guys in this post used some pond foam stuff and it looks awesome. The coral encrusts it and you can't tell what is live rock and what is the foam stuff. This is the link. I you should browse through the whole thread. He does some cool stuff.

Enjoy!

P.S. How nice would it be to have his reefing budget.

that is the plan for the inside  but I am going to paint the outside first...Just to make sure it's all covered.

I looked on RC and it apears that Krylon Fusion is probably the best...Went to Lowes for some other stuff and they did not carry Krylon, where do goet Krylon spray paint from?

went there also...they only had rustolium (sp) products and a couple others. But no krylon. Not sure where to try next maybe Walmart???

Walmart carries it. That's what I used to paint the back of my tank. It's best to put down a light 1st coat to make sure there are no runs. I put down a total of 4 coats.
Here is my tank when I first set it up

I have a the glass I am painting. said:
If you are painting a glass tank there is no need to use the "fusion" paint. That stuff is specially formulated for plastic. The outside of a glass tank can be painted with any good quality spray paint.

I'm thinking you could do it with 1 can. I was able to cover the back of my tank with 1 can. 48x22.
