[Gerard is lending me his new skimmer for a couple of months until his new tank is up. I'm basically going to test drive it on my 300+ gallon system. I need to build my new sump before it can be installed. Here's the bad boy of skimming. (Dual becketts)

[I think that should work out very nice Marc, that is, if you don't skim the skin off your fish, cause that thing is huge.

the skimmer will be powered by an iwaki 100 - should be fun!]
 
[Listen, if it doesn't work out, I think we should fill it up with saltwater and a few bits of macro algae, and turn it into a seahorse tank. :rasp:]
 
[I'm sure it will be noisy. Dual Beckett injectors off the Iwaki pump. Fortunately I have a fish room. I was telling Gerard that it will be pretty heavy once it is filled up with water, and put quite a bit of weight on the sump it is going to stand in.]
 
[i am planning a 220 gallon tank with sump - but, i like to overplan!! i think marc said he was going to give me his whole mean green zoo piece as a thank you!!!! :beer:]
 
[overskim!! i would rather have the option to overskim and then replace what i needed - besides, isn't it just a competition to see who has the biggest skimmer! :beer:]
