Best way to seal a plastic container

I have a rubbermaid bin that I use for my waterchanges. I have developed a pin sized hole somewhere in the bottom of the container. It is too small to see with the eye. It will only leak when there is enough pressure from roughly 60 or more gallons. I want to seal it. I was thinking to paint it with epoxy paint. I am concerned about the toxicity of the paint. Any ideas or suggestions? Any experience? I'm not too keen on forking out another 100bucks for a new one.

Try and figure out where the leak is, dry it out, rough it up and silicone?

Maybe plastic weld it with a piece you cut off the top edge or lip? Kinda depends on what kind of plastic it is.

how about the epoxy they use on plywood tanks. no clue if it will hold on plastic though. if you know its on the bottom then it shouldn't need to much.

Epo Putty should work if you can find the hole.

However it might be better to replace an aging container.

THe container is about a year old. Too young to give up on.

Do you know of any local spots for Epo Putty. Looks like that could be a very good solution for me.

i have some but you may find some closer to your neck of the woods.

The Oates putty from home depot will work but you need to make sure you rough up the surface with sand paper for it to stick well and be prepared for some microbubbles as I found out the hard way. I used it to secure rocks, but have used it in the past to fix a brand new RO storage drum that didn't take to kindly to drilling/cutting/sawing and dremeling while drunk. Lol. Worked great. I did both sides to be safe and added a silicone layer also but that was overkill and it's been 3 years since repair and still no leaks.
