Best hair algae eating fish? - Advice

[I had a piece of Tonga branch I got from a fellow reefer, this rock was completely covered with hair algae (it was like a 14" fuzzy cactus) my yellow, purple, blue, and fox face picked it clean in a day or 2

You could always look for a small 1" of either

I also have never had any significant algae growth in my tank]

[George, your best bet IMO is to find a FAT Lawnmower Blenny that is eating already at the LFS. I made the mistake of not being sure of that when i bought mine and he never ate and died after about 2 months. But those fish do LOVE hair algae in most cases.]

[I've had great luck with my bi-color blenny. Won't outgrow your tank, cute little personality, eats hair algae, but will also eat flake/frozen food when the hair is gone.]

[be careful with sand sifting gobies...they can really cause a mess in your tank, especially if you have southdown...ask Blide! My vote goes towards a lawnmower blenny...they don't call em lawnmowers for nothin]

[I do not think that bicolor blennies sift sand and are not near as good of algae eaters as a lawnmower blenny. If you are wanting a algae eater and a sand sifter, you may want to consider a rainfordi goby as Ken mentioned above...I don't think any type of blennies sift sand ???]
