Best Calcium Reactor Media

There is not such a thing as best IMO it's like salt.

I personally use the chunky version of ARM. There are several decent ones out there though!

i use genx and korralinth in mine..if you use arm i agree use the chunky version

I'll be a genx user... 6 buckets of the stuff. i used smaller media in the past and i didn't like the paste effect every time i changed it out.

I don't know about the ARM stuff, but the Gen X is coral skeleton so if it got wet, or soaked, it wouldn't break down or get mushy. Might end up with mold or something tho.

The best media is a very subjective quiestion. It all depends on preference.

I myself use Gen-X because I like the larger size of the media. I think it allows water to flow less restrictively unlike ARM which can get very compacted in the media chamber.

I also think ARM has more of a tendency to melt with a slip of the CO2 regulator. This is from personal experience.
