First off, is this forum alive still? It appears dying. Where have local people gone to ask, trade etc?

I have a 120 that has sat dormant for 2 years now. Should I just reseal it while empty? It had no leaks. Is it on to possibly just add sealant to existing?

Also, where do people go for some bulk sand? I really want a fine white sand this time, but unsure of how much it will move etc.

welcome back! the forum is alive, even if not lively. the club has been working to revitalize things, and its going well.

For resealing it is generally recommended to remove the old bead, clean the area really well, and then add a new bead. putting fresh on top of the old doesn't really help reliably. that said, if the seams are all in good shape.. it might be enough for peace of mind. I suspect that tanks going bad when sitting dry may be a worse issue in colder climates. but perhaps I have just been lucky..
