B-Ionic

Anyone know where I can buy just the Alk(part 1) part of the 2 part series (online or local). I have an extra Calcium, need the part 1.

Steve is correct,

to make it even easier, check out the video from this site.

There is all sorts of goodies there. THe dude with the annoying Canadian Jamaican accent has an awesome tank. His pegging video is great. If I was setting up another tank, I would cement the rock together and drill the heck out of it~ :D

I am interested in using the homemade 2-part additive, but am not sure how to dose the tank. Would you dose the same as B-Ionic? If so what are the parameters you would use to determine the amount of solution that you would dose with? If anyone could answer this questions I would appreciate it. BTW, has anyone been able to find any dowflake in the DFW area?

Here's a calculator you can use to guide you with dosing amounts with various additives to acheive the parameters that you desire.

I also use all three recipes for my tank. The calculator is excellent, just remember to do half the required dose at first then retest then the fine tune for your target dose. This can prevent a shock to your system as well as give you room for error, in case your off when you calculate your total system.

Cheers!
