Automatic Feeder

Hey guys I was just curious as to what everybody does for automatic feeding when they go out of town?

I'm building a canopy for my tank and ran into the question of where am I going to put my automatic feeder. There are times when I will be out of town for 3 or 4 days and usually set up the Eheim feeder on the top of the Eclipse hood that I cut a hole in but figured there must be a better way with the new canopy.

I appreciate the help.

Thanks

Have a friend come over and feed your fish every other day. Its not worth it IMO to have an auto feeder dump everything in your tank while you're gone and you come back to 1000's in losses and a milky tank.

Hi,

Most fish can go a week w/o being fed. I wouldn't have one of the programmable feeder's, had a bad experience with one. If you need one, get the cheapo unit's that run on a AA battery and feed the tank every 6-8 hours(each revolution). It's impossible for these to overfeed a tank and you can adjust how much food it feed's.

Cheers,
