Yea thought about that and went with daves recommendation of the jbj/aqua lift and jumped in on the marine depot group buy to do it---I'll pick the stuff up after the cabo trip. said:When you get back and get ready to set it up, read the instructions well (took me a few times to fully understand) to determine which mode to operate in. It comes with two switches. If you run in a the right Mode, B I believe, you can have a fail safe to shut the unit off. You put one switch in the sump and one in the RO Container (I use a 10G tank). The one in the sump triggers the water to pump, when it reaches the right level it turns off. If that one fails the one in the 10G will shut things off if it goes too low.
Unless both my switches fail at the same time, during a top off act, the most I would end up adding to the 200+G I have is 4 G of RO. Not dangerous at all.
Since you have a smaller system, you'll want to play with the heights of the sensors, but similar safety factors are built in.
Also, the JBJ will only pump for 15 minutes max before shutting off for a period of hours. So it has a semi-safety feature built into it. You can change that as well to 2 minutes or 7 minutes I believe.
