Astrea Snail ban?

[Shane_pcs]

I recently heard from an online vendor that they were unable to fill my order completely (minus astreas) because there was a ban on the collection of Astrea snails. I had noticed that in the Keys Critters group buy that they had a problem collecting the snails due to weather. I searched for some kind of announcement online prohibiting the collection of the snails, but could not locate any sign of this. Does anyone know if this is true or if this online vendor is just plain lying to me. Thanks.

All I know is that Keys Critters can't find any right now due to high heat and rains. Both seem to cause these guys to go off and hide. Since I was told this several times, I would imagine the word Ban would have come up at some point if that was the real reason.
