ASTERINAS ARE THE DEVIL!

I am sure that, just like the devil, asterina starfish fulfill a purpose and a function designed by our Creator! I expect that one purpose might be to give us a picture of the insidious way that the enemy of our souls works his evil against us, when given an opportunity! (If at any time, by the way, I have ever implied that they were harmless, either the devil or asterinas, I hereby retract that implication!) I have just now observed these asterinas plastering themselves on top of zoanthid polyps, and tucking themselves up into zoanthid colonies where there is no algae to speak of, but rather zoanthid tissue that would like to spread, and form other polyps! Under the cover of their inherent cuteness, which is added to by their interesting behavior of readily splitting in to various shapes, they have infiltrated my aquarium while receiving my happy approval. They have been eating my coral, and I have been duped! I know now that they are as sneaky as sin, and they will meet with my undivided commitment toward their complete eradication! ASTERINA STARFISH ARE THE DEVIL, and at some point in the near future, they will be no more!

Yea, the means of gauging which ones are bad and which ones are good is kind of dumb. They say that if it stays on the glass or rocks, then they are good. I say, save yourself the trouble and pull them when you see them, regardless of what they happen to be on at that time. Any ideas on where you got them from?

I think I might have got them from a number of places, since I thought they were really nifty, and was even glad to get them. They are common, and I really can't put my finger on where exactly that I could have got them, because I paid them no mind. I will look for them, and remove them, though, from any additions to my system in the future!

Well, I bet that I can get shed of them with a little time and these long tweezers. But I will keep that critter in mind! I can't even tell which end is which on that thing.

Somehow that information about some of them being ok, and some being bad got right past me. I'm going to try and pay closer attention from now on! That should have been a red flag!

I have thousands if the little buggers and the only thing they're guilty of is trying to keep the glass clean. Guess I've got a good colony. :)

Round up as many as many as you can and I will take them all. Cheers said:
Well, I guess I have disposed of a couple of hundred already. I guess you want them alive, or is it dead or alive? I guess that I could keep them and bring to a meeting for you? I don't think many are left.

That's what I thought. They lull you to sleep, then they attack stealthily!
