Ashler or anyone else ORP Help

I have noticed that your ORP has dropped and is now rebounding abit. For awhile I seen it down to 270ish and now it's coming up to 325. I did the same Ozoner as you did but mine is with a ORP controller.

Did you ever find out what was causing it to drop so low. My system is doing the same thing now. It was set to 330mV and was steady and now the controller is calling for more ozone and it is reading 290 or so. I have cleaned the probe and no change.

I'm just looking for help.

In my case, I had a non-ozone safe union on the line to my skimmer, and it was sloooowly degrading, allowing ozone to leak out.

But before that, I also dropped the level.. now I have it kick on if it drops below 300, and turn off at 310.

It drops whenever I mess with the sand bed (like when I planted some sea grasses) and when I feed the tank, do a water change, or when I brought the 45g corner tank online.

This month is averaging at 287 and last month at 327 (when I had it set to maintain 340).

Basically, I was looking for the minimum amount of ozone that would keep my water looking good :)

Ok I thought maybe the Ozoner was maybe loosing with of it's power. After all it was only $30 shipped to my door.

Yah, I was wondering that too before I found the union breaking down.. still couldn't smell the ozone, but as soon as I replaced the union, my ORP shot back up.

One other thing- on my AquaC EV-240, I also have to blast some RO through the injection fitting- I noticed salt creep building up there.

Mine was up to about 325 and now it's running almost continuously to keep it at about 295-305. I've wondered about the ozone amount generated and/or pushed out the line, but no real way to test it. I don't smell it either, but I know it's outputting some when I disconnect the line to check it.

Wonder why you didn't smell it and why I'm not either....hmmm.
