are seio m1100's loud?

does anyone here use seio m1100's

i was gonna gett them but had some questions..

are they too big?

and are they loud?

im lookin to put one on each end for my 90g

just wanna make sure of some stuff before i type in the CC numbers
 
You cannot run them on a wavemaker...They sometimes will not start back up immediately after unplugging them. You have to shake, rattle and roll.

Might consider a modified Maxi-jet 900.

I have one in my 90 and im going to buy another one.. I cant personally cant hear them.. when they start there is chatter... Seio is comming out with a Controller (should be $150.00) that should come out any month from what i read.. its released in UK atm i thinks.... The new controller only slows it down to 30% and then back up I belive.The only trouble i have had with the seio is you have to keep it clean or it wont start ( but if it never stops only 30% wont have that problem) ... like after feeding it wont start if you try to fire it up dirty....
 
so are they very big....?

so if i fed the tank and turned of the seios.. like a minute later it would start up or just some of the time that does that..


besides tunze are they ny other pumps that do about 1100 or 1500 gph?
 
There the best for the money. Wide flow but like they said they will chatter when restarted. I have mine on a Reefkeeper 2 wavemaker. It doesnt bother me.
 
I keep 3 seio 600s in my 90gal. They're in the back, 2 facing the front glass and one down low facing across the back glass. I have an 800 that quit me. It gave me problems others are speaking of about not re-starting. I'd have to soak it in vinegar over a night or 2. It finally wouldn't start at all. i'm sending it back to the manuf.
 
I have 2 seio 800 in my 90 I have not had any problems restarting
2 plus years, yes they do chatter when they restart
I have a mixed tank, flow is good
If you are going for SPS use the 1200 or 2600
I had 2 1200 in my 90 when I first set it up, blew the sand around abit
Probably should have kept them
Make or buy the magnet holders the suction cups didn’t do well for me
The maxi streams would be a good alterative
The controller is here, in limited numbers, they sold out real quick

so wat would yall do...im skeptical about the seios shoudl i get like a tunze 6080 on one end.. have an ehiem 1260 for return pump..

and maybe somethin else on the other end?
 
I've been running 2 800's and 1 1200 on my 120 for about a year now. The "problems" above stated are true. But I don't mind. You can't hear them when they are running. I think they are great for the money.
