Aquascaping for aquapod: poll

Looking for opinions on my aquascaping ideas. Roughly 12-15 lbs of fiji or the like rock will be used. No large pieces because i would like to be able to create formations.

1.) Pillars will be held in place with eggcrate at base and small pvc running up the side. The pillars will be at the corners so not much of the sides will be covered in rock. Might have a way to attach a pump to create a spraybar also out of this?

2.) Bulk of rock in the center. Eggcrate will be used to lift rock higher. Ill be able to view all 3 sides well by this choice.

3.) Great stuff to create a back wall of rock. It would leave a lot of real estate on the sand but would that look odd? It would slope up quite quickly. I would only want it to come out a max of 3 inches so i might not be able to fit much rock. On the plus side it would look natural and it would hide my overflow and pump return.

4.) Any other options I missed?

Opinions are greatly needed!!!

Thanks
William

I just saw a neat aquacape for a nano on cragislist. Let's see if I can post a link to the pic:

I like an aquascape that kind of leads your eye around the tank..
