Aquacontroller question - main pump

I have my main pump controlled with my aquacontroller Jr. I have it "manually on" so it stays on all the time and it can be turned off using the feed button.

The problem I'm having is when ACJr. loses power (power outage, etc.) it will power up okay but about 5 minutes later it switchs my PM1 from "on" to "auto".

How does everyone else have their AC setup for the main pump. Is there someway I can avoid it from switching to "auto" or is there a way I can program to "auto" mode to ensure that the pump stays on 24/7

Thanks,

The ACJr has a battery backup(for memory) so not sure why your setting are not being kept....maybe you need a new battery

Cheers!

Just program it to say if time > 00:00 pump on

That way auto will be on and you can still operate it via feed timer.

What happens then? Does it stay on auto till you switch it back to on? And do you have anything else on PM1? And if you only have the main pump on PM1, do you have a program in the code for PM1? And if not you could just leave the PM1 on auto all the time. Then just make sure the program says, Time >00:01 PM1 ON. And that is the only program in there referring to PM1, except that one that refers to when you push the feed button. That way the main will be on all the time except when you push that button and it will not matter that it is on auto.

Neither do I Todd, but some people like that option. That is the one thing though I do not put on mine.

Rick,

It switches to "auto" and on the display it shows the "U" symbol. I just manually change it back to "on".

I'm a little confused, Rick you gave me one program and Kieth you gave me one that is similar but a little different. Will they both work or is one better?

I'm wondering if it is switching to "auto" because I do have the code to turn off PM1 for the feed cycle.

You can try Keith's idea, I just thought it had to say >than 00:01 but maybe it does not need the 1 in there. Either way just make a program that has the pump turned on all the time and make sure nothing conflicts with it. Then it will not matter that it is on auto.

The manual settings are not meant for long term. They are just for testing, etc.

Rick's and mine are the exact same except for 1 minute difference. Use the one to be on the safe side even though I doubt it matters.

I'm guessing your issue has to do with having reference to it in the program (implying auto) then having it on in manual mode. Try the program line and see if that fixes you up.

I also don't have my main pump connected to the Aqua Controller. When my pump is off, it is because I flipped the switch or because the pump has failed.

One of the reasons I have a AC3 is so that the main pump will comeback on, after feeding. If is a safety feature that keeps mefrom forgetting to turn it back on.
