That looks cool. Too bad I'm not into the Iphone. I plan to get an HTC fuze once the price drops. I'm kicking myself for not getting in on the big AT&T online coupon fiasco they had a couple of weeks ago. I could have gotten the fuze plus the palm centro for free.

Creator has put the app up on iTunes under aquanotes

FYI only ac3 and pro work on this app

It is up, as I've seen some people mention how they love it.

downloaded it and we can not get it to work so far. I am thinking the RG on my uverse is not allowing us to port forward and i can not even establish a different IP to allow me to look remotley. Only way i can check on line is if i am on my wireless network with the associated IP. I am using a D-Link Wireless print server with a 4port usb switch and it is super quick and works great.....no ethernet drop for me!

- I had to set up a dynamic dns.
- I enabled that on my router.
- I switched my ACIII port to 81
- I forwarded my port 81 to my ACIII 198.168.0.50:81
- I forwarded my port 23 to my ACIII 198.168.0.50:23

so when you go to my URL:81 you get my ACIII login

I put that URL (without the port :81) into my ACIII, kept the port 23, user, and password and it connects fine.

PM me if you have questions.

I'm very happy to report that the new iPhone is now working with the Aqua Controller application that zigzag wrote. It looks perfect to my eye, but my camera did something odd with the screen, not unlike taking pictures of a television show.

From the status page, I can check the graphs for pH for the past week

and temperature

Of course, you can see the same graphs vertically.

One step closer to what I've been wanting to accomplish with my tank before my trip(s).

I know, I know, OT, but for those with Nokia smartphones based on S60 3.2 (not very many of us in the US, but tons of us around the world), I'm planning to write a similar app but in widget form. But first I've got to learn Javascript and AJAX. :)

Well, get on it.

Here's an actual screen shot from the iPhone displaying how the temperature in the area affected my tank. It almost hit 81.5 F today, about a degree higher than usual.

Donnie,
I thought we had it working last month?

Does aquanotes work from your laptop when you're away from your house?

PM you IP again along with the AC user and password and I'll see what I can do.

I have mine working on my Iphone now and it's just cool.

ok for those that aren't as familiar with networks (scott is the only reason I have a signature!! thx scott) what are we supposed to put in the fields

my link I use for my signature is http://210fish.zapto.org:8080/

it asks for the: I entered

IP: http://210fish.zapto.org
the port: 8080
user name: entered
password: entered

and of course it doesn't work.... where do I find the addresses I need for the port and IP?

I don't know what port forwarding is but I think thats something I am screwing up....any help would be rad!!

that is your itunes id and password said:
Doh! I'm stooooopid. I should havbe known that.. I keep forgetting I have a username and pw.. I never use it since itunes is setup on one computer and doesn't prompt - the apple tv only prompted me to once..

Is there a step by step setup for this app AND to put my ac3 info into my signature OR does this require aquanotes from neptune?

Folks, I suggest you get the Aqua Controller working over the Internet, viewable with a web browser PRIOR to trying to get your iPhone app to work....

The app is super simple to load and configure if your home network infrastructure is working / routing properly first. This means you have port forwarding / DMZ working at home first.
For me, the default telnet port ( 23 ) is forwarded from the Internet to the controller. ( Hint: Aquanotes acts like a Telnet client )
Then I also forward Http on port ( 80 ) which is so you can access the controller via a web browser.

Hope this helps some.

The app works just fine on my phone if i just go to my IP. I can not get it to work with the app on the phone. do i have to have aqua notes running all times?
