AquaController 3 question

About to purchase an AC3 unit with ph, ORB, and temp. Just wanting to verify with some users that this is the same as an APEX as I haven't found the two in the same sentence lol. Basically just want to be able to upgrade my lights and be able to control lights, pumps, etc from my iPhone. I'm pretty certain its all good, but wouldn't mind some reassurance! :) thanks

It is the predecessor to the Apex. I have an AC3 on one tank and a Apex lite on another. The AC3 is lacking in some features, but I like it for a budget controller.

Like Titus said, some minor feature difference however the AC3 will do everything that the apex does as far as controllabity. I have owned every model controller from Neptune. If you plan to ever want to control led's or rinse pumps it makes more sense to just get the apex.

Yeah, I want to be able to control the LEDs and wasn't sure if that was the difference between an apex and an AC. So the AC will not control the LEDs to perform such features as the storm mode, etc they were displaying at MACNA?

Ok, I really appreciate the input. Turns out its not what I'm looking for in that case, and I was gung ho ready to go! :( oh well, atleast you guys saved me from realizing the fact AFTER.

I have been told if you have an aquasurf for the aquacontroller you can control LEDs, that is why I haven't sold mine.

I thought this also however the aquasurf will only control tunze pump profiles.

Cheers
