Apex Question

Yep...I switched over from my CaRx due to ph concerns. There was talk of Neptunes actually implementing a dosing selection from the contol type pull down window and operate like the profilux controllers where you just put in total dosage per day and it would do the rest. Now using drew's type dosing pumps you do a lil math and use the ocsillate cmd to dose. There is also the calculator on BRS that helps a lot.

Cheers,

yes, it works very well. you can use the OSC command like Ron suggested. Or what I do is just have each pump come on every two hours alternately (Ca 12, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10...) and (Alk 1, 3, 5, 7, 9...) and you can specify how often you have each pump come on at each hour.

I've used drews pumps on a oscillating-type mechanism (D.A.). One thing to be aware of is that each pump will deliver a slightly different amount per unit time--they are not particularly accurate or precise in the context of 24/7 operation for weeks at a time. Not a big problem, but it might require periodic measurement and separate control for each pump. Just a heads up.

Thanks for the input. Are you using a timer to control them?

Yes. They come on for 6/5 (alk/ca) seconds every 15 minutes to match my systems calcification rate.
