Anyone near gp have a 4" circle cutting tool?

[Now that I am almost done with my stand, I am about to start on a new canopy. I was wondering if any of yall (hopefully near Grand Prairie) have a 4" circle cutting tool that I could borrow.]

[I just built my canopy, they have them at Lowes. But I was to cheap to buy one (there $40.00). I ended up using a router, not as smooth but once I mounted the fan you could not tell the difference.

[they are quite expensive...if I can't find anyone with one, I might have to get one and return it the same day :lookaround:]

[Hi
Two words "Harbor Frieght" my 1 1/2- 4" set cost $7.50 I'd let you borrow mine but I don't think you want to drive all the way here.

[I looked up Harbor Frieght on the yahoo yellow pages and found nothing...$7.50 is an awesome deal. Perhaps you could buy me a set and ship it :p]

[Harbor Freight is right down the street from me, off I-20 and Old Granbury Road. I don't have the phone number handy because I just go there and never call. But their ads come out often enough.]

[well if you go up there any time soon, Marc, could you please check if they have that kit for under 10 dollars? It is a long drive to get there, but I'll make it if the prices are good.]

[Sweet Deal Marc ,
Im going to take you up on that! Just remeber I was invited so no yelling at the newbie!, and I dont work well under pressure :).Check out this URL on e-bay and see if It can be modified or better yet can I build a better one.

I contacted him and the pick-up price is $99.The hood is what I hate- ill be mounting some heavy lighting on it and I dont want to fight to lift it.Maybe one cut it and make the front hungable.I like the hinged front that you and Glenn made !, and thats how Id like mine :) Either way Im ready to start on it in a few weeks if thats ok :)

[I just remembered that Dustin at BlueReefAquatics sells stands and canopies via his site and Ebay, and I thought the prices looked very reasonable. Shipping was super cheap, compared to what I have to charge to ship a sump across the U.S. So you might see if they have exactly what you'd like, ready to go.

Hmm. His site isn't up right now, and of course I can't find them on Ebay. I'll have to follow up on this when I catch up with him again.]

[There's Harbor Freights all over the place. I usually go to the one in Richardson. It isn't too bad.

[I had my tank built by Kenneth House of House of Fish.

It was acrylic but I think he also works with wood. I needed some extra holes cut in my hood and if I remember correctly he only charges $5 a hole. The holes he cut for me were 3.5" but I would guess he has different diameter cutting bits.

His web site is House of Fish]
