Anyone know the difference between an Eheim 1250 and 1253

Hey all,
I bought an Eheim 1253 for my calc reactor and I don't see the difference in the spec...... Anyone have any insight?

It appears the 1250 is an external pump whereas the 1253 is made to run their model 2250 external filter. It is listed as the replacement part for that external filter. From the picture it appears it is missing one of the connectors and the outside housing that the 1250 has.
