Anyone keep their seahorse in a reef tank?

I am doing a seahorse tank now but my tank has tons of corals. I have it set up where it would be hard for him to get stung, all the corals are in a high flow area which he dont swim in. Only thing I have that could hurt is a anemone, frogspawn, and a chalice which I dont know. He never gets near these corals so I think im fine. I also keep my tank at 75 no higher. Some people have told me its a big "no no" to put them in a reef tank but my LFS has them in a reef tank so I guess it depends. I was just wondering who has a reef tank and how successful it has been.

Not impossible. I wouldn't tempt fate with that frogspawn and anemone though.

I have a seahorse community tank - 95 gallons with 4 mated pairs of Hippocampus Reidi. The seahorses share the tank with (2) twin-spot gobies, (2) royal gramma, (2) occelaris clownfish and a Bangaii Cardinafish. No aggression against the horses at all. We feed the fish first and then target feed the horses with a turkey baster.
Coral that are not problems include colt coral, acans, zoas, montipora, palys and favia. We also have a huge todstool coral plus numerous mushrooms that are not dangerous for the horses...
Let em know if I help in any way.

Seahorse.org has a wonderful list of safe corals to house with seahorses. Check it out.

Some seahorses are better suited for the reef tank than other. H. comes would be your best choice. They do better at a warmer (77*) temp than the other tropical species which are best kept at 75*- not an issue if you have a chiller on your reef.
