The idea is a very sound one and they work very efficiently. I know if I had a fish room separate from the display tank I would set one up.

There is a small store on 183 over here in Fort Worth that has one and it works great. I occasionally go over and get some caulerpa from her and it is covered in good critters. The Fish Place is the name of the store. A lady named Judy is the owner and very nice lady to deal with.

Not meaning to do advertising here but thought it worth mentioning to observe the setup.

good threadon this on reefcentral

instead of using a bucket to dump over a screen. i am going to maybe using a scwd to do the alternating pulsing of water have the scwd shoot the water over a chute kinda like a kids slide then run over the turf algae...the only thing is finding a screen not made of metal..i wonder if screen door material is nylon or metal...

You can get the screen in either nylon or metal, you should be able find it at Loew's or Home depot.

also the Lovelands used a setup similar on the smithsonian aquarium. One of my first obbsessions was this idea. Casey
