I poured a whole bag in my tank...my lyretails anthias went crazy it was like a shark feeding frenzy. It was crazy seeing all the fish trying to catch the shrimp all over the tank. Even my two coral banded shrimp were running around trying to catch them...

i definetly recommend trying the stuff....

they are prawns but will live in our tanks if you acclimate them if i remember correctly as they live in brine water in between fresh and saltwater.

10 dollars for a bag. i think he said there was about 150 of them in there...i just poured the whole bag in my tank and fuge

yeah at the meeting he sold it in the back...

he called them live feeder shrimp

They look like regular ghostshrimp. If they are, you can buy them alot of places like the gallery or boutique. Ghost shrimp are fresh water but I have aclimated them in my brakish tank and seem to live a couple of day in my salt tank if they don't get eaten before. That price seems the same you can normally buy a portion of 15 for $1.00.

Please tell if these are different.

they almost look like ghost shrimp but the ones i get at fish gallery are big like peppermint shrimp size..these feeder shrimp looked like brine shrimp on steroids...but my anthias loved it...i poured a whole bag in the tank. it was like chumm for sharks they were going crazy...guess nice little treat once a month to give them..

The best way to find out what they are exactly is to contact the website that was listed in one of the posts above.

They do look like ghost shrimp, but were about the size of a larger amphipod. I dropped in a net full today and they didn't last long at all. My Six Line Wrasse and the Longnose Hawkfish were very excited, while Spock inhaled all that he could get. I think Crown Royal (Purple Tang) got a few as well.

I'd like to get 1000 to drop in and see what happens.

my only concern would be that they are fresh water, and usually fresh water food isnt that great for salt water species. Also, they could be like brine shrimp, which are considered junk food for our fish, needs some more investigation on nutiritional value.
