I'm considering having a custom AGE tank and stand bulit. I know they are well known for their quality--I'm more concerned with working through an LFS. Has anyone been through the design/build/installation process? I'm open to LFS recommendations too.
Yes, mainly that. Being a custom aquarium, there are many details, and I don't see how adding a middle man would help that process. It may be that I just have a misconception about how the process works though.
I went through Fish Gallery and it was a smooth transaction.
I did talk directly with Age too,because I didn't want it delivered to the store.
They allowed me to pick it up direct from AGE.
It is the best built tank I've ever owned and I'm actually fixing to buy another in a few months.
The only drawback is that it will take 3-6 months to get it.
It benefited me,because I put up 1/2 $$$ and had 6 months to come up with the balance.
I get in no hurry when it comes to glass that holds 1000's of $$$ in corals and fish.
By all means take your time and get it perfect!
