I designed this to reduce evaporation, reduce contaminates form air and to fit in a closet.
It is basically a rectangle made from 1" PVC connectors. Here is the final product.
alt="">
alt="">
Ok now for the step by step.
Here is what you will need. 4 1" elbows, 3 1" tees, a short section of PVC pipe, 1 extension cord, 1 water resistant light bulb holder.
Here I have already cut the pipe up into 6 short sections about 2 1/2" each, some rigid air line tubing, a timer, and an air pump.
alt="">
alt="">
Place the short PVC sections into the elbows.
alt="">
Now join one tee between two of the 90's
alt="">
alt="">
Place another short section into the tee
alt="">
Repeat the process so you should have two identical sides.
Now take the extension cord and cut the female end off of it.
alt="">
Now drill a hole just big enough for the cord to fit through in the side of the third tee.
alt="">
Feed the cord through the hole.
alt="">
Wire the light fixture. I tied a knot in the ends so they would not pull on the connections.
alt="">
alt="">
Now push the fixture back up into the Tee and glue it in with std PVC glue.
alt="">
Now join the two sides together with the middle tee.
alt="">
Next drill holes so rigid tubing fits tightly through each elbow.
alt="">
I went ahead and strapped the air pump and gang valve to the unit so it would all be one. You do not have to do that. It just makes it easier to lift off the bottles.
