Algee at the bottom of my tank when lights on?

I have a strange layer of algee that shows up when the lights are on after a while. It is only on the substrate. it looks kinda brown red color. When the lights are off for the night and I go dose my tank in the morning its gone. I have new bulbs and my tanks seems to have the correct levels. Any Thoughts.

ive been going through the same thing and i added 2 new koralias and positioned them lower to the sand pointing up and i think from the added circulation it has made it go away. i've also been running a UV sterilizer and for the first couple days i only ran the lights for 3 hrs a day. it has cleared up alot but now i have diatoms. from what i've heard the best thing u can do is skim wet, more circulation, less light time, frequent waterchanges. and supposedly all of that should fix ur problem. :)

Try searching for cyano.

Also, is the stuff in the second picture herewhat you are indeed talking about? Click that picture and it will tell you some more about it.

I am going to try increasing the flow in this area. I do weekly water changes and have no other issues and feel the current is weak in this area I will check it out and post the results.
