Algae control

Guy's and Gal's,
I'm looking for any input you have on algae control. I changed my lights and the stuff went wild. I've got my phosfates down to 0 and bought a bunch of new snails and crabs, but I'm not making any head way . Any thoughts...Thanks George
 
George,
I am in the same boat. I am replacing my sand today and scrubbing the rocks.
I will let you know how it works out.
Gotta get to lowe's now for some extra gloves and brushes. It's going to be a long day.

The algae is on the rocks, it looks like green cotton, my sand is 2 to 3 inchs deep with lots of snails and a orange diamond gobie keeping it clean...George
