Algae bloom

[I suddenly had this diatom algae bloom the other day..i been having them..but its going away then suddenly it comes back darker..

could it be because of the Nori i left in there over night?? b/c the algae basically grew over night....

or b/c of the new light change?? i had NO lights over the tank for about a month and jsut got new VHOs on the tank last friday w/ 2 superwhite and 1 actinic 03]
 
[About 2-3 months ago I upgrading to 440W of VHO from 160W of NO. For about a week or so I had some brown algae problems, but nothing bad at all. I backed off about 2 hours on the light period and all is fine.

I have the 4 lamp PFO retro kit with 2 URI actinic 03's and 2 URI actinic super whites.
