Adhesive for Pond liner to wood

Reading through Pete's thread I saw he's lining the bottom of his stand. I like the idea and want to do that to mine, but would be comfortable using pond liner instead of the shower liner. But in all my research I haven't been able to find anything more than "Try xxxx", except for at wetwebmedia where they posted "years ago" used Henry's roofing tar.

I have used that stuff on my shed roof... very messy. Is there another type of maybe contact cement or adhesive that I could use to stick the pond liner to the bottom of my stand? The wood will be uncoated.

Thanks

you could try 3M super 88 spray adhesive. ive used to on upholstering car audio boxes. ive never used it on or around saltwater stuff but it might be and alternative to the tar. A buddy of mine used 3M red double sided tape to hold down his tank lining you might want to try that

I just used hard plastic tacks I got from HD...
They kinda look like staples... and i just hammered them in before the tank went on the stand...
I didn't use an adhesives incase I ever wanted to remove/replace the liner.
