Adding Sand

My koralias seem to be blowing sand in certain areas everytime I adjust them. Now there's a bald spot in middle and towards the front. I also just bought a Orange Spotted Goby and would like a little more sand in the tank.

Can I just buy some aragonite and mix it in with the live sand in the tank? I know I'll probably get a sandstorm, but chemistry wise, will everything be ok? And also, could I add some sand to the fuge area as well? Thanks

you can add some but i would not mix it. be careful of adding a lot because if you trap creatures too deep they may not be able to surface. also, look at getting a little heavier grain in the areas it gets blown around, it may prevent it in the future.

Also, just mix a small area at a time... this will help some of those creatures time to surface. You can use a long/wide piece of silicon tubing, and a funnel. Just pour it in the spots you want. It may take a bit longer, but at least you’re not losing some of the good fauna in your sand.
