acrylic 6g long

hey ladies and gents! some of you may remember my 3g picotope that i drilled, but anyways, it's been a long time and i've been out of the scene for quite a while, but i have started a new acylic 6g long that has been built from scratch from a good friend of mine, Dat Monkey. pics will be up soon!

so far, the tank is finished and has been drilled. the dimensions of the tank are 24" x 6" x 8". sand will most likely be tahitian moon and i will transfer most of my corals from my old 3g tank into this new one. lighting will be a TEK t5 HO retrofit with 6k + pure actinic bulbs. the pump will be a mag 3, much more details to come!

here are some pics of the sump.

here are some pictures. we've made a mistake spray painting the back of the tank, so the overflow's white color still shows. it's a bit of a drag, but hopefully no one will notice it :D, i'll attempt to cover it with LR anyways.

well, to start off this post, i was off on a retreat for the week and everything was fine and dandy with my tank when i left. out of the blue, i receive a call on my last day at the resort (yesterday) and hear that my tank had crashed because of a fried powersurge from a thunderstorm that passed by 2 days before. i quickly told my roommate that just gotten back to the apartment some steps to attempt to recover what's left of my tank. i got the most information possible about the looks of the tank and zoomed home early from the retreat. my timers and the whole socket, along with the male plug of the powersurge were all charred and melted. i see my tank running, thank God for my roommate, but my clams, all my corals on the top of my tank, and my male harlequin shrimp are gone. surprisingly, there were many survivors though, my acan, fungia, emerald crab, some softies/zoos, and all my snails. well, to keep it short, i just did a water change and i am hoping for the best now.

hey ladies and gents, sorry for taking forever and a day for these pics, but here's some decent pictures taken today. my acrylic is a bit dirty and i had micro bubbles from attempting to feed my corals to make them open up.

that's a great looking tank; looks like its recovered well from your previous mention of the power-related problems.

I really do admire the smaller tanks! I think this tank is awesome and it looks great.. who made this puppy for ya? It makes me want to play with one!

Please let me know who i need to contact to get a small custom aquarium like this..

That looks really nice. How about a complete tank shot with the corals?
