ACJr Serial Cable to borrow?

Does anybody have an Serial Cable for the ACJr? I think my is not working correctly.

Or if you dont want to let me borrow it, I can bring it by and you can flash it for me and we can chat tanks.

I am trying to up grade the firmware but it does nothing when i run the upgrade.

Did self test and it is still 3.2
 
I saw on your other posts that you couldn't upgrade your ACjr... I had a similar issue and the solution for me was to remove the ground adapter that I bought from them. You can only upgrade through the serial cable.
 
can you show me a pic of your serial cable?

The one i borrowed from Wes looks like the one i have. When I got my ACJr. it came with a Black Adaptor one end male and one end female. When Wes gave me his his did not come with it.

I can find any pics of the ACJr serial cable anywhere. I have tried using mine with and w/o the black adapter. Tried the same thing with the one I borrowed from Wes. Still no success with it.
 
The black adapter is the ground connector.

Here's two tips that helped me:

1. Before booting the ACjr to "Loader" mode unplug everything expect the serial cable (No PH, Temp, or DC8) then boot it up.

2. Make sure you're not using the ground serial adapter on the PC. Just use the serial cable with no extensions or adapters.

Did you unplug everything else (Probes/DC8) from the controller when you tried the upgrade? It would only work for me when I had only the serial cable w/o the adapter plugged in... :D
 
yeah, my PC is in the other room. I only had it hooked up to the power cord and Serial Cable. ( no DC8, PH probe, no Temp Probe, etc)
