Acclimating T5's

I just put my new t5 lights on my tank. How do I acclimate them to my tank? I had 260watts of PC and Now 324watts of T5's. There are 2 chords on timers. One controls 2 of the bulbs, the other controls four. I think I should have the actinics on for 14 hours(108 watts) and main four lights(216 watts) on for a shorter time, maybe 4.5 hours and increase the time the lights are on about a 1/2 to one hour every week. What do you think?

It isn't a huge increase, but intensity should be substantial.

I run my lights 11 hours a day, and 14 hours sounds too long to me. I would either stagger the lighting or maybe just have the 4 bulbs on during 'the heat of the day' for a couple of weeks until the tank is used to full intensity. During the two weeks, you could increase the photoperiod of the 4 bulbs each day as you considered.
