AC JR Questions

Have a few questions I am hoping someone can answer.

Q1. Have my Return pump and skimmer pump plugged into the DC8 on ON
(to keep it going all the time).
I set up the feed cycle so that it should turn these two pumps off when I
feed, but it does not go off. I tried setting it to Auto and nothing. Ideas??

Q2. I set up an initial password but for the life of me cannot remember it.
Now what, can I do to get past this, would I have to reset and program
all over again?

Q3. The serial cable has a female end to it, do I need to by a male to male
adapter so that the male goes into the female end and the other male
end could plug into my notebook?

Don't have to reset it, if you go through the setup at the AC level then you can just keep pressing select select select select and it will spell out your password.
