A worm like caterpillar in the tank

[wolfpatrol]

I discovered this creature that looks like a caterpillar in my tank tonight. It was crawling up out of a rock. It was white in color with hair all over it. Any ideas on what it is? Good/bad? I know I did not buy this and put it in the tank so how could something alive be created?

Look up bristle worm. It's a detritus eater so it beneficial.
