Today, a new DFWMAS member came over to get a Devil's Hand frag. He asked if I had anything else to share. His tank is 1.5 years old, and he has MH lighting. Basically, ready to delve into the SPS world with the rest of us. :)

I forewarned him that I've had red bugs and acropora-eating flatworms, but he wasn't worried. I didn't really want to give him a twig, so I looked at the one piece I figured he'd be proud of. I did tell him to take pictures, so that in two months we can observe the growth or talk about the Acro he used to have.

Here it is:

And here's another view of some of it, in the foreground of the purple coral.

Okay Jeff, it's up to you now. Make it grow!

Uh... Marc...

I'm ready to delve into the world of SPS too, when do I schedule my appointment for pickup??? 8)

I'll take that colony right below the one you just gave away in that bottom pic...

How cool!

Hi let me introduce myself, my name is glenn and i am new to dfwmas. too would like to try SPS, when can I come buy and pick up my colony?

It wasn't free, but it wasn't expensive guys.

The reason I wanted that one out of my tank was so I could see the "purple monster" behind it better. It was within 1/8" away from touching, and I had a feeling the winner would be this one.

When I was going into the tank to clip it out, I was struck with its beauty. I have a few nice pieces, but nothing as nice as what we've seen in Rick or fish2morrow's tank.

I just created two more decent size frags of that same coral, and moved them to the prop section. If you've just gotta have it, let me know.

Jeff, be sure you pick up ESV's B-Ionic from your LFS.

Only the legal kind.

Here are the other two frags. One looks great, the other not so hot.

Your definition of the word "Frag" is most generous!!!

Looks more like "Small colonies" to me!!

You are probably right. I guess these are the guidelines:

a. rediculous
b. twig
c. cute
d. fraglet
e. frag
f. oh yeah
g. come on, baby
h. nicer frag
i. getting there
j. tiny colony
k. its about time
l. colony
m. a new growth is spotted adjacent to coral, return to a. again.
