60g stocking questions

[I just moved out of my 40 hex to a 60g long so I've got a lot of extra realestate. I'm almost certain my list of livestock I'd like to get is too much for the tank or some of them are not compatible with each other. Can you guys look over my list and tell me what I need to get rid of or add?
Tank specs- 60g, 40-50lbs liverock, 30lbs l/s, 250mh, 180w vho 200watts pc.

I'm looking at:

Juvenile blue angel
Yellow tang
Reg Gorgonian
Royal Gramma
Coral Beauty
peppermint and fire shrimp
various candy canes
BTA
Montipora
Sun coral
Hammer
Flame Angel
3-5 green chromis

I've already got 2 clarkis (one which is hosting in my candycane) 2 green chromis. Rock Flower anemone (which I'm trying to get rid of.. FREE to anyone who can get him out of the rock) kenya tree, neon green mushroom.

Thanks in advance!]

[What are the dimensions of the 60? Not a size I am familiar with, is it 36" or 48"?

Juvenile blue angel - Pygmy? Which angel do you mean. What happens when it grows up and becomes an adult?
Yellow tang - Would hesitate to keep one in a 36" tank.
Reg Gorgonian - don't have much exp with them
Royal Gramma - Excellent fish
Coral Beauty - Depends on the "juv blue angel", otherwise good
peppermint and fire shrimp - good
various candy canes - good
BTA - I am very much against anemones in reef tanks
Montipora - good
Sun coral - will require feeding, see Marcs site
Hammer - Good
Flame Angel - You would be best to pick 1 angel
3-5 green chromis - keep the 2 you have don't add more.

I've already got 2 clarkis (one which is hosting in my candycane) - should be fine, keep an eye on the coral and be sure its not being bothered or receeding at all.

All in all looks good, 60 gallons isn't that big so careful not to easily over stock it. You really need to pick an angel for the tank if you want one, none suited for a tank that size would get along with each other, and keepning a juv. fish that will grow to 12" in a 60g tank is a bad thing.

If it were my tank it would look something like ...

Pygmy angel, yellow tang (if its a 48" tank), royal gramma, 2 clarkis, 2 green chromis, corals. You have the light to keep anything, hows the flow? Montipora will require a pretty high variant flow, while the hammer will prefer a gentle sway.]

[I'm pretty sure the tank is at least 48".
Scratch the blue angel and red gorgonian. I think I'll go with everything else, pending other average opinions.. Any close substitutes for the yellow tang?? I'm hesitant on getting another one. I know they are aggressive swimmers so the 60g might be a bit too small in the long run...
as far as flow, I've currently got 1ph @ 400gph, 1@ 300 and the other at I believe 350. They are on a wave timer, the 400 on the left corner, 300 in the right corner and the smaller one in the center. I'm working on getting the plumbing for my sump together. I've got an aquaclear pump that says it can push 930g/h, with head, I'm not sure what that will equate to. I'm pretty sure I'll have to get rid of at least one of those powerheads...]

[what about a sixline? He'd be a welcome addition and well a manderian down the line would both be great additions if you have the pod pop.]

[Ditch the blue angel, forget the manderin (tank is to small unless you have a nice big fuge), and pick one pygmy angel (flame or coral beauty), everything else is perfectly fine. Should be a great community! A yellow tang will do fine in a 4ft tank.

I agree with Mark that I wouldn't keep a BTA in my reef but that is more personal preference. Just realize they do move and will kill anything they touch! Another personal thing is that six lines get very aggresive eventually so add last if you do decide to sub for the Tang.]

[What kind of anemone should I keep? I would like something for my clowns to host in..]

[In my opinion anemones of any kind and reefs don't mix! Again many people do it and it's a decision for you to make but just do a search on RC to see how many have lost prized corals due to them wandering and you'll know why I have my bias against them in reefs.

BTA are by far the hardiest and the only one I would even begin to suggest you keep. If you really want one go for it just be prepared if it roasts some of your corals!

Your clowns can be perfectly happy without an anemone. I have a pair in my big tank that have been happy and healthy for 2 years now without an anemone.

By the way don't take it as me not liking anemones. I have a 20G in my bedroom that has a pair of Clarkii's and an RBTA and it is fascinating to watch!]

[I'm not a fan of keeping any anemone in a reef tank, but plenty of people do it. Check out the anemone forums on the board, do some research.

A 6line wrasse is one of my favorite fish, but they will decimate a pop population :(]
