60g long help

So I only have one wall in my apt that the tank will fit but here is my problem. It's between two windows one window is the kitchen other is the living room, so there is a drop off from the carpet to the kitchen flooring. Should I just stick something under the stand to make it even with the carpet? Any ideas here I would appreciate!
Here's my 40B so you have a idea, the 60g will add 10" or so towards the kitchen window.

You can just use shims to make it level assuming the drop off isn't that high. Hard to tell from pics, but best to put tank down, then use a level and shims for any areas that drop off. The carpet should press down with the tank/water weight, tile will not, so I'm not sure how much difference will be there.
 
Not much, just the tack strip.. I could grab the carpet guy next time he's working at a apt here. Maybe he has a idea.. Maybe take the tack strip out about 20" from the wall since the tank will be sitting on the carpet it won't come up.
