Well after going a different direction with my last tank that I did not like I have decided to set up a tank that will be running for a while (cursed it right there i'm sure). Will be BTA anemones and mixed reef. I'd really like another FOWLR but i'm in a 3rd floor apartment so limited gallons.

Tank: custom glass DAS 40"x18 Reef ready (got used from a DFWMAS member)
Lighting: Ai Vega (1 for now) and 2x 36w T5 ATI w/ individual parabolic reflectors and over driven ballast.
Flow: Tunze stream 6055 with controller and Tunze 6045, Eheim 3000+ return pump
Skimmer: Itech 100 cone fed by Tunze hydrofoamer (picking up tomorrow)
Filtration: Custom 20L skimmer with acrylic baffles, BRS bio pellet reactor, Eheim heaters
Tunze 3152 Osmolator Top off

Still need to order: Apex lite controller, CA reactor, Kalk reactor, another Ai Vega.

Have the tank half put together now, rock is slowly going in. I have 20 lbs of cured live rock, 15 lbs of dry rock and around 40 lbs of uncured live rock. Might not used it all. No fuge planned after some reading on other forums I have been doing. When I got the tank I noticed it has a weird built in canopy. The canopy is not removable from the tank. I made a hinged lid for it that I will be mounting my lights on. I am a little worried about heat. Tank also has two return bulk heads and one drain, I'm trying to modify it to work the other way. One return, one drain and one back up drain. I will post pictures tomorrow. Thanks for looking.

Got the ITech tonight and bulk heads I needed. Might be getting wet tonight
 
Sweet tank, you drillin' anything in it? I like the lid thing are you gonna put fans up around the back part or like drill some holes in the lid for air exchange? Also I dont remember that wall being that color lol. Looks good! :D

3 trips to lowes today and still no water. Got the 1" spa flex I needed, forgot purple PVC primer...

Those rocks are just placed in there, thats not a scape. And I will be mounting my ai vega between those T5s. Now to fill it up and install fans.

Giod spot for bio pellet reactor? Iv heard to put them near the skimmer, plumbed into the skimmer, into the filter sock ect. It feeds right next to skimmer and can return any where really.

And dose a bacteria - I prefer zeobak or dr Tim's over mb7 I never had good results with mb7
