250W Mini Pendants - IceCap or PFO better?

I am about to buy 2x 250W HQI DE MH setups.

Which is better?

Ice Cap Mini Pendant
or
PFO Mini Pendant.

And What about the ballasts? IceCap of PFO?
 
I own the Ice Cap SE pendant. I really like it! But I preferred the SLS Blue Wave HQI ballast.

I know the Ice Cap Electronic ballast is good - but I preferred getting an HQI ballast.
 
IC Eletronic ballast is a HQI ballast. I have IC ballast, and I also have the 250W/400W DE pendents made by IC. I have been happy with both. I really do not know the true numbers though which is better.
 
I love my ICECAP ballast and have heard good things about the IC mini pendent. While either will suit your purpose, IC's excellent customer service is the deciding factor for me.

I just talked to my LFS and they said they like BlueLine Ballasts and pendants, and they are cheaper than PFO

what you need to do is look at the color of the lighting of each ballasts as each one will either make the same bulb more blue or yellow. You might not like the color put out by that ballast if you have not seen them in person
