Here it. 10 days after tossing in the dead shrimp and looks like diatoms are blooming.

Behold my auto topoff resevoir/ph doser. I do not know why I did not get one of these before. I was able to fit a maxi 404 pump through the top after removing some of its housing. I can now wait 6 days instead of 2 or 3 before having to add water.! Maybe I should add some vodka once the cycling runs its course.

I think you should get starboard for a cleaner look if you're up to taking out all the rock again  , it's only like $20. Might be a PITA to get them to cut it in that dimension but it's def worth it. BB is the only way to go, you're going to love it.

Thanks for the suggestion Anton. I might really have to take it under consideration. Where do you buy it locally? Have any idea if they will cut it onsite?

Do you think coraline adheres to it much faster than glass. Could look nice in black starboard. Tryin to do a nice job cutting the darn would be a bigger PNTA than taking out the rocks which would take about 15-30 minutes right now. No sand anywmore so I can see what I am doing.:)

I got it at a local plastics warehouse, if you click upper right corner "find your local fish store" you can see a few, I think they can custom cut it for you for extra $$, or there's a guy on ebay that constantly sells it even cheaper, they can do the overflow cut outs and all that. I got my dimensions wrong so I still had to sit there with a dremel and hack at that thing. I prefer the white starboard over black, a few people actually though it was white sand until I told them. I really don't want any algae growing over it as I prefer white over purple, but that's just me.

Fish Stocklist: Two spot yellow hogfish wrasse
Longfin fairy wrasse
Scopas Tang Jeuv
Blue Green Chromis

other: meshmodded NW110 NW skimmer with one layer of enkamat. So far so good. Much more bubby had to lower riser tube.

Now I just need Anton to buy my furniture from the non reef for sale forum so I can put some nice corals in.

Starboard supplier... http://www.alliedplastic.org/

They way cheaper than Regal Plastics. I was so "the act of relieving ones bladder in the past tense" when I found out how much I could have saved on my 4x8 sheet by going there instead of Regal...... would have saved about 45%.

Here is a pic where my 120G euro-braced brick beast is going to go.

Tank Dimenions:24"D, 48"W, 28.5" high

Floor to Ceiling: 83.5"

Existing stand: 42"

Tank + Stand: 70.5"

Room left for lighting: 13"

Potential new stand: 35" - (top of display at nose level) Would leave about 20" of room for lighting

Cooling & humidity control: Fantech FR125 exhaust fan, Cap Air 2 humidity temp controller, dehumidifier?- plumbed to existing drain and water supply in alcove. Evaporative cooling over display and sump.

I am lloking to do a mixed reef and could do T5 only but really want to do a t5 -MH combo. The 13" oopening would be very uncomfortable for maintenance. Perhaps I could do some kind of is a sliding ceiling mount setup to hold the lights.

Suggestions are welcome.

Here is some pics of the finished product. Wes Mitchel did most of the work.

I decided I had enough with lugging water around and picked up this used acrilic 25 refugium at the the LFS. It was a piece of cake to drill it for my small float switch. I am going to use this for my ATO resevoir instead if the old 20 glass tank. I will use the 20 G glass tank for mixing water. Now my water changes will consist of pumping out about 15 gallon from my prop/auxillary refugium then pumping 15 gallons of new saltwater from the 20 g glass tank into the prop tank. Pump 15 gallons out of the new rodi resevoir into the 20g glass tank, add salt, and will be ready for the next water change.

Had some heat issues with temp swing running 3 degrees. My home fan just was not cutting it. When I go in the fish room it feels like a sauna so I installed a heavy duty computer fan from Altex over the return air vent to turn on with my regular fan. Temperature swings now less than 1 degree while running my 400's almost 5 hours.
