2 part solution - Dow Flake

So I have seen the web video and read a bunch on how to make your own two part solution. So my question to all of you is where can I get a bag of Dow Flake locally instead of buying it online? Does it even exist down here in the South since it is made as an ice melt for very very cold conditions? I would assume if you can get it here at a Home Depot it would only be a winter item.

So, all in all, can you get this locally? If so, where?

I have seen it at ACE, Elliots, Home Depot and Lowes. With winter just around the corner I am sure it will be in the stores soon.

Dow has changed the composition of the DowFlake product enough to cause concerns.

Okay, so if I went with the Food Grade Tetra Chemicals Calcium Chloride, would it be okay?

It is 94 to 97 weight percent anhydrous CaCl2.

I'd hit up Boomer or one ot the other chemistry gurus to find out the proper amount. The reason we can use dowflake, etc, is that one of these guys figured out how many units of ca per mg they contain.

where did you find Food Grade Tetra Chemicals Calcium Chloride Locally ? I am trying to source the DowFlake and MagFlake locally also
